On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me...

It sure was a Merry Christmas this year....
with all the sinful cakes and cookies (oh my Lord, the calories are piling up!), drinking, non-stop meat-pinching and curries fiasco, some more drinking etc... Blame it on the rainy season for forcing everyone to stay indoors and binge on leftover Christmas goodies instead.

Not only did the food made everyone happy, there was an extra special reason for celebration this year. There was a marriage proposal which caught everyone by surprise on Christmas Day at a dinner party hosted by my aunt and her boyfriend. Whilst thanking everyone for their presence (and presents!) that evening, Andre got down on one knee and made a marriage proposal to my dearest Auntie Pat. Everyone was cheering and went wild with applause and happiness. The feeling was overwhelming and I was holding back my tears. Yay! There is a wedding to look forward to next year! Way to go you guys!!

December Mayhem

The last two weeks saw me rushing to clear work. At times, I find myself holding onto that pee till it's literally at the freakin' tip even!! Pardon my expression, people.

Almost everyone I know are either taking it slow and easy and in holiday mood this time of the year with christmas shopping and all but here I am loaded with damn work! Neeways, the target is to get everything or at least most stuff completed by the end of this week so that next week, I can at least breathe a little in the office and start on them last minute Christmas pressies and oh no, cards too! Every year, I tell myself that I am NOT GOING TO fall victim to being a last minute shopper but, like my yearly resolutions, which I never fail to NOT KEEP, I fall prey time and time again!

Its 12 more days to Christmas people! The shops are wild with bargains tempting everyone to part with their bonues. The fitting rooms at clothing stores are snaking with the gift wrap counters being likewise too! I've got a soft spot for two months of the year. December is numero uno, (followed by February coz its the birthday month of Ethan's, our first born and also mine....ahem). There's really something magical about the 12th month of the year - the birth of our Saviour, the lights, the bling blings, the colours of Christmas, the warm and fuzzy feeling, crowded malls (but then again, our shopping malls are always crowded aren't they?) and jolly good ole' Santa. And speaking about shopping, don't you just hate to get gifts for men? C'mon my sistas, I know you'd agree with me on this one.

Here's wishing all Good Luck as you push and shove your way past the crowds for the best bargains, gifts and last minute shopping.

Tis the season to spend that big fat bonus on nice pressies for folks like me....hint hint... (wonder where that thick skinned of mine came from). Just to let some of you folks know....We, people in the banking industry, got no AWS okay....sob sob...
Nonetheless, I've gotta do what I've gotta do ...(altogether now)...SHOPPING, that is!!
Hmmm, wonder if I should go on my annual Christmas shopping extravaganza on a weekday or weekend. Either which way, the crowd will be everywhere this time of the year.

With that said, I just CANNOT BELIEVE that we are just 31 days away from a Brand New Year too! I know it sounds cliche but HOW TIME FLIES!!
