A piece of him....on me

I had always thought I owned a white workshirt in my wardrobe...until this morning, that is. That was when I realized that I owned none and I wanted to pair it so badly with a latest acquisition of mine - a delicate black lace crocheted vest.

You know how once you've set your heart on something, you'll try ways and means to get it? That was how I was this morning. I really wanted to pair the vest with a white shirt, BADLY! I had just set my outfit for the day in my head and that's that! No two ways about it. And it was not like I had nothing else to wear in my wardrobe for crying out loud!

Then, it struck me! I opened hub's wardrobe and voila!

Thanks for the loan, hon!

Summertime Lusts : Bikinis!

The only thing that tops a SALE....is a CLEARANCE SALE at most of my favourite online sites!

Wait, there's more....some sites have no minimum order amount and provide free shipping worldwide!
Yes!!! You heard me right.

ASOS is one such site which I chanced upon sometime last year and I have got ALL the girls in the office hooked!

Anyway, with the mighty scorching hot weather in our little island, I’ve been taking advantage of the summer clearances online (particularly Old Navy and Victoria Secrets). I thought I'd give the swimwear section in my wardrobe a complete overhaul! And overhaul I did with 5 sets of uber rad bikinis in various design, colour and cuts! Hold onto your seats now coz...ALL 5 sets cost me just under S$50....IN TOTAL!!! I love it that all 5 can be mixed and matched according to my mood too!

Next up : On the lookout for caftans and beach-coverups!

Rawrrr!!!

I bought these gorgeous suede, leopard print, 3-inched platforms from ASOS some time early this year at a 50% off sale.

It was actually sheer coincidence that I happened to own several leopard print items. I wouldn't say I'm utterly crazy about the look, but I do like it...in moderation. Besides, you've gotta admit, there's something really sexy about having abit of animal printed key mix-and-match items in your wardrobe. Key word here is, I repeat MODERATION and not pile everything on at once.

The thing about leopard print is that you either love it or hate it. Digress - I know my hubs is shouting the latter. The prints remind him of a certain someone whom he is not too crazy about! Ha Ha! Anyways, I think it's a print that never goes out of fashion.

I think if you know how to rock a look, it's quite cool. And this season, if given a choice, I'd reach for a leopard print anything over a floral or polka-dotted anything!

Summertime Lusts : Skinny Dipping!

With the weather being scorching hot these days, need I say more!

ps. If I had alot more space in our patio, I'd want a mini jacuzzi at the corner of the timber deck...where I can squeeze in sometime lounging and sunbathing on the deck and have tapas and drink sangria all day!

Sexy, Spicy, Seductive...

... a fire-engine-red mini bandage dress and black stiletto heels for a Friday night out in town.

... strolling on pristine white beaches in lombok in a sexy stringed siren-red hot bikini and white espadrilles with straps that cut right up the ankles!

... red striped wolly scarf peeking out from a short navy leather bomber jacket.

... classic ruby-red lipstick for a champagne brunch with the girls and our gentlemen, making silly toasts and getting all high from bubbly overdose!

and how lovely is this gorgeous red flowly gown? LOVE the drama.

happy weekend, folks!

Da Man

Hubba bonding with our kiddos out at sea. Port Dickson, December 2010.

My heart still skips a beat whenever I see him. My husband. How is it possible?

Last weekend, we celebrated Father's Day in advance with a casual dinner as hubs doesn't like us to make a big deal out of it. "Its always the company over anything else", he'd always say... "As long as I have my family and people I love around me, nothing else matters".

He’s been the most wonderful husband and father, and I still love him oh, so very much.

Happy Father’s Day, darling.

Ever mine, ever thine, ever ours.

Amboi! Cantik nia!

Its the school hols and I took some time off work to teach the kiddos abit about their heritage today.

Here's a picture of my handsome and smart looking baba with my sweet and shy little nonya. Oh, how both my grandmothers would be so proud to see their *choo-choos in this get-up. I bet they are smiling from above :)

Kawaii-neh!

Can someone please just pass my god-child, Giselle a Kate Spade bag?

ps. Good job on the hand-sewn cupcake tee with the symbolic 4 candles Anna! Very neatly done.
I want one too for my birthday next year which means that you'd have to start working on it like...right now?

Instant Bliss

Do you remember this van when you were little?

In the baking hot sun after a school athletics meet and feeling the need to desperately quench your thirst with something cool?

Yes, siree! This way please! I’ve never been much of a malt or chocolate drinker at home but the one thing I never used to be able to resist was the ice, cold taste of Milo from that friendly green van.

So when my mate Ben asked if I wanted to try out an instant cold version of the drink which tasted like it was fresh from the van, I said WOW YES!
This sachet empties directly into a cold glass and dissolves every single bit of Milo upon stirring. I’m sounding like an ad, aren’t I? I’m not.

But what I am is super impressed.

It’s like I ran up to the van for a fresh cup. Bliss!

Thanks Ben – This has been a bit of a saviour at work.

You’ve quenched both the hungry children in us! =P

This is a picture on Ethan recently taken at his school's Sport's Meet which hubs and me had the priviledge to attend. He was so reluctant to be in the cheering squad. In his own words, "It's a girl's thing, mom!"

Oh just for the record, I was looking around for the green Milo van only to be disappointed. Instead I saw the boys form snaking queues at the various vending machines within the stadium for the fix of Coca Cola. Aren't they supposed to grow like a champion grow with their energy drink, Milo no?
